Fabulous Family- Anytime Session January 23, 2009
Man oh man this session is waaaaaaaaaaaay over due for some props, It has been a crazy season and I have been very bad about updateing the good ole blog. I wanted to share this fabulous family with you because they truly were one of the most loving and sweetest families I have EVER met! I absolutely Adore Anytime Sessions, you know the “Just because I feel like it” Sessions, the “thats right we are fabulous” sessions and most of all the ones where it is” just because we cherish these moments” sessions!
Picture this.. Both sets of Grandparents, Auntie, mom and dad and one VERY loved little man! Alot of squeezin, alot of kisses, alot of laughter, alot of playing! We had such a blast and it was truly an honor to watch this family interact and to be able to capture this “just because” time for them. I asked the family some questions for this post because they would have a much better way of telling everyone why this session met so much to them:
1) Why did you decide to book this portrait session? I really wanted a way to memorialize the times that Garrett has with his grandparents. My family lives in CA and we don’t get to spend as much time together as we would like. My family was going to be here for Thanksgiving and I thought that it would be a great time to get everyone together and create some memories!! And frankly, we never know how much time we have left with our loved ones and I want to take every opportunity to make concrete memories of the time that we all spend together.
2) What was your favorite part of the entire experience? I truly enjoyed the whole experience! You were so wonderful to work with!! A large group and baby who was a little cranky could have made for a very difficult day, but your patience made all the difference! It was wonderful and the pictures turned out fantastic…exactly what I was hoping for!
3) Is there anything you would like to add about your family and this session? What I would like to say is that this was not about my mom being sick at all…her courageous battle with cancer is just a daily reminder that we need to cherish the time that we have with all of the loved ones who surround us. We as a family do not focus on her cancer, but we do look at every day as a gift! Sometimes we get so busy in our lives that we forget to take pictures, tell loved ones how much they mean to us and truly just seize the littlest of moments! We are so blessed to have an amazing family and we are so happy to have the memories that you helped create! For that I will forever be grateful!
Onto share some shots from our awesome day!

A Glance at Weddings 2008 January 6, 2009
I was so blessed by all the fabulous weddings I had in 2008 and am so thankful for all the new relationships that grew from them. 2008 was such a whirlwind of a year, I booked about 4 weddings each month and am so thankful for that. But I decided when the summer was over that 2009 was going to a bit different, I will only have a limited amount of weddings this year and so far their booking fast! I want to thank you all for choosing me to be a part of such an intimate time in your lives and for allowing me to get beautiful images from fabulous clients! Heres a tidbit into the year.
Jen & George- When they asked me to be their photographer, I could not refuse! George has been a cancer survivor for several years and Jen has been there with him through all of it. They are so much in love and little did I know I would gain two friends out of this very special experience.
I caught this little princess in the aisle without a show and Had to get a shot or two or three ok maybe 4!
These two for so much fun! We sailed away on the Portland Rose Sternwheeler and at sunset they were married.
This wedding was so cool! They had so many different little attributes included for instance instead of toasting champagne glasses, they had Tiffany & Co. Crystal Beer Mugs, and baseball bats for the guest book, etc.. Great work on all the plans and everyone over at Gray Gables Estates did a fabulous job!
What a gorgeous wedding On top of Mt. Tabor in Portland, Cherry blossoms everywhere and beautiful sunshine! This couple was one of the sweetest couples I had ever met!
I just loved this one of her father walking down the aisle with her.
This shot cracked me up, I asked them to be creative in their jumping, whether that would be doing flips or the splits, they were more then willing! Notice the groomsman on the left LOL
This one I loved because of the lighting but also of how the light is directly on the groom staring at his bride while her father gives her away.
Crystal & Dennis were married in Seattle on Lake Union at the fun Lake Union Crew they were surprised with a seaplane to pick them up after their reception!
Great fun with Jen & Dan, The guys were having to much fun pretending to beat up Dan, meanwhile the girls were getting ready with tons of laughter and girly stuff!
This wedding I will never forget! Marisa & James were married on August 16th which happened to be 107 degrees. The church had no air conditioning inside and it was just as hot outside so let me say everyone was ready to jump in a pool or ice cold water! They are such a sweet couple and trucked through it like no otha despite the heat!
Jennifer & Dale were such a joy to work with, there was wedding was absolutely perfect, we stole some shots of them in between the ceremony and reception at their favorite date spot Commonwealth Park and right before sunset.
These girls were so much fun and all just beautiful!
Blake & Dave had a spectacular wedding with bold rich browns and greens on the cliffs of Canon Beach, OR at The Ocean Lodge , they were so welcoming and really such a blast to work with!
Megan & Chris were married at her parents house in Washougal, WA. It is such a beautiful piece of property and their home is breathtaking. I could not have asked for a better group of people, everyone was so much fun and so inviting. This was indeed a blast!
I got a shot of these lovely ladies during the father & daughter dance, it was such an emotional and special moment
OK I think Ill stop at those for now, I will share some of my fave Detail shots of 2008 as well as famill & Child shots of 2008 soon! Blessings for 2009!
