A bond between Mother & Son November 25, 2008

Filed under: Uncategorized — deylahuss @ 7:43 pm

Another fabulous session this last weekend and thought I would share, I absolutely Love the shots with mother and child, and you can feel the love that they each for one another and the strong bond. It is so sweet! There is nothing like it really, when your child looks at you with those gorgeous determined eyes and hugs you with those soft but strong hold, and mnost of all when they slobber all over your face because they wanted to make sure gave you the biggest smooch EVER!

I truly wish more brides did this and realize how fabulous these sessions really are. Some ask; Do I really TRASH my dress? No absolutely not, if you dont want to, but your going to get it cleaned anyways right?

Popcorn and Tiny M&M’s November 14, 2008

Filed under: Personal — deylahuss @ 4:15 pm

I got a call yesterday from my mom saying “Hey why dont you bring the kids Pj’s over and we will have a sleep over” I was gasping for air in relief for this long awaited break and date night with my hubby! So ofcourse I haveto think of something to do since it has been a while since our last date night. But the first thing that pops up is the yummy 007 Quatum of Solace!!!

Casey and I have been big James Bond fans, we own every single one that ever came out on DVD! AND we make a big trip down to the ole movie theatre to see any new ones that ever come out and it is always just the two of us. Casey was asked several times this last week by his friends and brother and even my brother “hey you wanna go see the movie?” and without any pause, he replies that he will be going with me whenever that would be because it is our thing. LOL I love it!!

I will be grabbing us a big bag of popcorn and my mini M&M’s and mix it all up together (yes my fave treat) and sit down with my Hubby and grasp his hand like no otha (maybe a little makeout session in the back! LOL) and vaolla watch Daniel Craig do his thang! Holla!

Wedding: Dale & Jennifer… November 14, 2008

Filed under: Weddings — deylahuss @ 12:29 am

What a fabulous fall wedding I had the honor to photograph a couple weeks ago at the! The amazing couple Dale & Jennifer are so full of love, you just want to burst of cheer joy! Not only are these two dancers but they also share the same love for god as they do each other. When I first met Jennifer & Dale, I instantly felt very comfortable with the two of them and knew that we would work together really well. Jennifer is a very detail oriented person and quit crafty, she planned all the details very carefully and did a beautiful job! The Reception was at the World Forestry Center and is such a stunning spot to have your reception. I haveto give props to the fabulous job Kathleen Phipps did on the amazing cake! She is just starting her cake design business and this was her first wedding cake! It is truly amazing and may I say delicious! Cant wait until she has a website that I could link this too. It’s All Arranged did a fabulous job on those gorgeous rich colored bouquets. The colors were so warm and screamed Autumn! Also Gina’s Catering did a fabulous job as well and had a fabulous display of yummy food!

Thank you for allowing me to be a part of such an important and scrumptious day!

A Little Light into my life… Come on in November 7, 2008

Filed under: Uncategorized — deylahuss @ 4:47 pm

Well today I woke up sore like you wouldn’t believe from kicking my own Tooshy from my work out yesterday, hence NOT going to the gym today and thinking I should give myself a nice little break. THEN I thought “why dont I give myself a general all around break today” and just Spend that time with my kids, good quality time with them and play today.

This summer was great, alot of weddings, tons of sessions and IM sooooooo blessed for that! But when it comes out of the summer, I’m beat and my fall begins of albums designs, print orders and well you guessed it the well-needed family portraits for those Holiday cards and myself needing those as well.

The Fall is really nice because it makes you feel like you fell into this warm down comforter and you only come out for snack breaks! It also always helps me remember those who cannot get into a warm blanket or eat all those snacks and yummy foods that we crave during this season.

I wasnt sure if anyone knew this or not, but I have been a part of a couple Awesome charity groups in the past, One is The Littlest Heroes Project, founded by a 17 yr old girl named Felicia Reinhard!!! she is fabulous and courageous for sure. The Littlest Heroes Project is a non-profit based organization founded in January 2008, made up of professional photographers nationwide that provide free photo sessions to our nations Littlest Heroes. This is our way of giving back and taking a stand for these children who sometimes feel forgotten because of their illnesses. We are here to let them know that they are heroes to many, and to share their inspirational stories and photos with the world.

I have decided to work with the Oregon Food Bank this year to also help raise money for their charitable services and are working closely with their Donor Relations Coordinator Allie, on a promotional deal I have going on right now. I will be donating 10% if the session fee from this promotion to the Oregon Food Bank so we can help during this tough time of year and make sure people DO NOT go hungry! Please view special below:

Book your spot today through December 31st for this awesome promotion! And lets help make a difference!

2 + 3 = 5!!! November 6, 2008

Crystal and I had been talking about getting their Anniversary shots done for almost a year now because of scheduling conflicts, it has just not been able to happen for either of us. THEN FINALLY we got our calendars in check and vaolla! I had such a blast with Crystal & Mitch and their darling daughters! I decided to go out to their home town and have them choose a spot for this session and I couldnt have picked a more perfect and relaxed area. It was so quiet, hardly any people around, which always makes the person/s much more comfrtable and relaxed in front of my camera which makes my job ALOT easier. These two were so photogenic, its sick! they were cracking eachother up all the time during the session because they “didnt know how” to be serious when needed or when I had them doing crazy whatever, they laughed their heads off. We found a really cool alley way with some cool architecture and Im all about the textures people, Holla!!! To top off the fun, I also got to do some family shots for them with ther daughters whom I have shot before for a previous session. These two are absolutely gorgeous and fo much fun to shoot! ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh and to top it all off, Crystal is expecting their third little girl!!! Congratulations to you both for your beautiful growing family and most of all your awesome Love for one another!
