My Family.. My Life… September 29, 2008

Filed under: Uncategorized — deylahuss @ 7:16 pm

My Family inspires me every moment of every day and they truly amaze me! Our daughter Tianna is my sunshine, she brightens up any room she goes into and her laugh, OMG LOVE it!  She is beautiful, talented, and oh so smart! Our son Chase is our little ball of fire, he is so much fun to just sit and listen to and watch, he surpsies us every day withi things he says or does and has such a fabulous imagination!

My Husband… How can I really put this into a sentance? He amazes me, He inspires me, he is the air that I need to breath. My husband is someone and something I thought I would never have in my life and I dont think I tell him enough of how deeply I appreciate him and Love him so much.

Thank you Casey, T and Chase for making me who I am today and continuing to keep my laughing and smiling every moment! I love you all!

Cheers to Megan & Chris! September 25, 2008

Filed under: Weddings — deylahuss @ 7:41 am

What a beautiful day it was for Megan & Chris, Gorgeous bright bouquets, colorful ties for the guys, One beautiful wedding gown and a whole lot of fun! The ceremony took place at Megan’s parents home in Camas, WA. I love home weddings, I think they add so much to the day, and are so much more personal and relaxed. This home had such a charm to it, fun decor surrounding it like carousel horses, bright colored statues and water fountains. Megan couldnt have gotten married at a better place! As the sun set, the ceremony began and everyone’s eyes went to them. The Reception was a blast, everyone had such a great time, alot of laughter and tears of joy for the happy couple, And they are completely in love. Thank you both for letting me share this fabulous day with you and capturing this special time in your lives. Cheers!

Fall is near and its Holiday time! September 19, 2008

Filed under: Uncategorized — deylahuss @ 3:27 pm

I wanted to remind everyone that the Fall is an absolutely gorgeous time of year to have a photo shoot, When it comes to this time a year, Photo shoots come and go sometimes because of a need to re-schedule for rain or storm. Well this IS Oregon and Im fine with that, Dont worry about calling me the day before our session because the weather looks like it may be horrible for our session and you have little ones to worry about. I COMPLETELY understand and am useto the large amount of reschedules that go on this time of year. I will work my darndest to watch the weather on the 10 day forecasts and contact you as the week goes.

I do not shoot in a studio by choice because I LOVE the natural light and making use out of our gorgeous surroundings.  I will come to your home for those fun family portraits or to welcome that precious newborn baby, as well as a romantic and soft maternity session. When the weather is bad, I sometimes offer to go to a hotel downtown and use their lobby’s if possible or any other area I feel would be oh-so-fab! There are alot of hidden treasures in this city and I would love to share those with you in art. We may go to a place and your thinking “Oh my gosh, what have I gotten my self in to” or “what is she thinking?” well my goal is for you to trust me and allow me to do my thing and give you beautiful artful portraits that you will have on your walls for a lifetime.

I find I do my best work if I get to know you and those in the shoot a bit better and then express my ideas and run with it.  As you can see from my website of this blog, I do not shoot alot of your more traditional angles or shall I say “straight and forward” shots. What ever I see through my Lense that strikes me, I shoot it and get as many possible shots as we can during our session.

I share this all with you today to just give you a little more incite about how I work, I also am working on  new FAQ page to better guide everyone with the process and end results. Thank you sooo much for checking in on me and my work. I’m excited for ALOT of new and exciting changes for 2009, stay tuned…..

Cheers!

Pears and pooooofy skirts… September 12, 2008

Filed under: Families & Children — deylahuss @ 5:18 pm

What a fabulous session I had with these two wonderful and adorable little girls! Their mom and I have been trying to set a session up for sometime and finally took advantage of a gorgeous sunny day on the farm! And may I say these skirts!!! Holy Moly Love them! They arw a dream for any little girl! how they sway in the wind and just POOF out like no body’s business! HA! We had a blast rummaging through the tall grass being followed by the local farm cat and that one dog who really sometimes just wasnt leaving us alone and had to be in all our shots. Old Barns and outhouses, Tractors and those awesome Pear trees! We thought we would take a stroll over to the pear trees and see if the girls could bring home a pear or two to their dad, and they were too cute! Aw to end our session, they finally got to go see the chickens who had by that time hidden somewhere and no where to be found, but they were great sports and instead we twirled those skirts for the last shots!
Thanks so much Crystal for allowing me to steal your munchkins for those 2 hours and just play and have fun! I LOVE MY JOB!

Absolutely Only… September 8, 2008

Filed under: Uncategorized — deylahuss @ 7:21 pm

Erin & Pat were married at the Gorgeous and fabulous Grey Gables Estates in Milwaukie, OR on a beautiful sunny evening! The day went so smoothly and was put together perfectly by the fabulous Grey Gables Wedding planners. When I first met Erin & Pat, I knew instantly that these two were going to be a blast! Some of the special attributes they had for the decor and attire was Baseball bats for the guest book, everyone signed these two black baseball bats at the front entrance, Love it! Tiffany & Co. Then instead of the ring bearer carrying rings down the aisle, he carried Ring pops on the pillow! Erin wore these black and gold Nike Tennis shoes under her dress and an adorable Red and Black Garter with handcuffs on it! Each item they chose meant something special to them and I think its fabulous when a couple puts these little special touches into their weddings! I think its so important to keep this day about you and your spouse and make it as memorable for you both as possible.

Thanks to you both for making it a fabulous day to capture, you both were fabulous to work with!
